Hey readers ๐,
So this is the first book in the series desirably broken love. I know it's quite a clichรจ name but I just thought it sounds like the vibe u'll get inside the stories.
Also, I don't own any image, it's all taken from Pinterest as a reference.
Anyways, the female lead in this book is a calm composed lady who is naive but not pathetic and the male lead?
Well, let's just say that he's not the most insane man you'll meet in this story but he's not a sane one either.
This story is full of social drama mixed with controversial topics like cultural difference and rebels.
And let me beware you, the ml may seem like a mama's boy but trust me when I say he even went against her when it came to the love of his life.
And let me know in advance, if anything requires any changes and stuff. If you don't like the reference pictures. I will change it.
Now, last but not the least,
If you like a dark romance story between a good girl and a morally grey man who tendencies to become either a complete gentleman or a complete possessive lover, this one is for you only.
Enjoy!! ๐
Aadvi Chauhan - Female lead (20) (5'2)

On a bright day, among the bustling of the town, the warmth of the summer afternoon sun seeps into the skin, casting a sense of languid tranquility over the landscape. The sky is a brilliant blue, with only a few wispy clouds scattered across the horizon. A gentle breeze stirs the leaves of the trees, creating a soft rustling sound that fills the air.
As the sun begins its slow descent towards the horizon, its rays cast long shadows across the ground. The air is filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the distant chirping of crickets. Children's laughter echoes through the neighborhood, mingling with the sound of sprinklers watering lawns.
In the distance, the hum of the occasional bark of a dog add to the symphony of summer sounds. As the afternoon wears on, the heat begins to intensify, and people seek refuge in the shade or indoors. Porch swings creak gently in the breeze, and the smell of BBQ wafts through the air, enticing everyone with the promise of a delicious meal.
The manor's courtyard, adorned with intricate stone carvings, lay bathed in the warm, golden light of the summer sun. The air was heavy with the sweet fragrance of blooming jasmine and the heady scent of ripening mangoes. The trees, with their lush green canopies, stood tall and still, providing a tranquil oasis from the scorching heat.
A faint breeze stirred the leaves, causing the delicate glass wind chimes to tinkle softly. The sound echoed through the courtyard, blending with the gentle hum of cicadas and the distant call of a peacock. The warm sunlight danced across the courtyard's stone floor, casting intricate patterns and highlighting the vibrant colors of the woven rugs.
In the nearby gardens, the vibrant blooms of hibiscus, marigold, and bougainvillea added splashes of color to the lush greenery. The gentle rustle of the leaves and the soft chirping of birds created a soothing melody that filled the air. A small fountain, tucked away in a corner, babbled softly, its gentle gurgling a calming accompaniment to the afternoon's tranquility.
Inside a luxurious manor,
The living room was a grand, opulent space that seemed to whisper tales of a bygone era. The walls, adorned with intricate moldings, were painted a deep, rich shade of red, reminiscent of velvety crimson roses. The color was so vivid, it seemed to pulse with life, casting a warm, regal glow over the entire room.
The furniture, upholstered in a soft, beige fabric, provided a subtle contrast to the bold walls. The sofas and armchairs were plush and inviting, with delicate patterns embroidered into the fabric. The wood accents, polished to a warm sheen, added a touch of elegance to the space.
A majestic stone fireplace dominated one wall, its mantle adorned with delicate carvings of leaves and vines. Above the fireplace, a stunning oil painting depicted a rolling landscape of hills and valleys, its colors muted and subdued. The painting seemed to blend seamlessly into the surrounding dรฉcor, as if it had been commissioned specifically for this room.
The floors, made of polished dark wood, gleamed in the soft light that filtered through the windows. The windows themselves were tall and narrow, with delicate panes of glass that sparkled like diamonds. Heavy, crimson drapes framed the windows, adding a touch of drama to the space.
As the eye wandered around the room, it was drawn to the numerous decorative accents that added to the space's opulence. Delicate vases, adorned with intricate patterns, sat atop slender tables. Ornate candlesticks, their metalwork glinting in the soft light, stood sentinel on the mantle. Every item, every decorative element, seemed to have been carefully chosen to create a space that was at once grand, elegant, and inviting.
The overall effect was one of refined luxury, a space that seemed to whisper promises of comfort, relaxation, and refinement. It was a room that seemed to envelop its occupants in a warm, crimson hug, making them feel like royalty.
In such a room, sat a man with dusty blonde hair and amber eyes on the sofa in a proud manner, spreading his legs on the seat of the sofa.
While holding a woman with deep brown hair flowing down her waist and black eyes like onyx gemstone, trembling with fear and confusion, under his hold and in his lap.

What in the world is happening right now?
"Say ahh~"
The flawless handsome with a dusty blonde hair and peircing amber eyes, wishpered in my ear, making the hairs in my neck, stand right up and tightening his hold on my waist, he pulled me more towards his body, in his lap.
"Youn-young master, wha-what are yo-you doing?"
I managed to say due to my shuttering and that reason itself is his presence. I never wanted to be this close to the man I serve but one silly mistake costed me, my freedom for ever.
He shoved in the spoonful sweet towards my mouth and again in his fame sweet tone he said,
"My angel, even though I am a patient man, I don't like to repeat myself twice."
He is saying as if I am committing a crime by not obeying him. But he needs to stop this. I maybe his chef, but I am not his plaything. He needs to understand this but why, why is my heart fluttering like this? Why is my stomach twisting with his every touch?
This can't be, he is a Britisher and I am an Indian. We are meant to be enemies but he keeps treating me as if I am someone special to him. Why?
"Young master, thi-this is meant for you, not me."
I said assuring him that I am in no position to eat from his bowl or rather his spoon which he holding just before my mouth.
But somehow, a sly smirk started emerging on his lips when he said,
"Is it because you put poison in it?"
Poison? I wish I could but I cannot. I am serving this man for a month already. If I had to put poison only then I could have put it a long time back. I didn't had to wait for so long to kill this man with poison. Because I am only incharge for making his cuisines in this household.
"No, young master, I didn't put any sort of poison in it. Trust me."
But his smirk grew wider when he heard me speaking honestly about the food and he asked me,
"Then why don't you prove it?"
Is he serious right now? Just now I said that there is no poison in it yet he doesn't seem to believe me? I guess I don't have any other option left, right now.
But I have to make one thing clear.
"I will eat it but promise me that you will let me go then."
A faint frown formed on his eyebrows but hiding it, underneath his skin. He maintained his silly expression and said,
"Ofcourse dear. Eat it and then I will let you go."
And so, without wasting any time, I opened my mouth wide and ate the gulab jamun from his spoon but few drops of the juice escaped my mouth and cascaded down my lips to my neck. And he kept down the spoon back in the bowl.
After eating, however, as I tried to get up, he suprisingly let me but the moment I was about to take a step, he again grabbed my wrist and pulled me down in his lap, again.
Wh-what? He promised?!
"Young master, you promised!"
I said loudly stating the conversation we just had but what he said next, had my head spinning in circles.
"Yeah, I promised to let you go but dear, you didn't mention for how long?"
Yeah, I should have known this beforehand. He is not a man to be taken lightly. He is cunning as hell. I mean ofcourse, he is a well reputed earl and finance administrator for a reason.
But before I could respond anything, he held my jaw with his free hand and pushed my face up, giving him a clear view of my neck and cleavage.
And nuzzling a little in the crook of my neck, he again wishpered in his husky like voice,
"Angel, I suggest you choose your words, wisely."
Before he licked the skin where the drop of the juice was present from flowing down.
And a weak squirm left my lips when I felt his tongue tracing a line from my collarbone to the side of my neck to my jaw, as if retreating back the juice of the gulab jamun, back into my mouth. I closed my eyes, feeling something twisting.in my stomach.
Just then someone yelled,
"Young master!!"
And I opened my eyes, looking in front. Only to find head maid standing there and throwing daggers at me with her eyes for misbehaving.
But no one knows that I am not the culprit, I am the victim.
He stopped licking my skin but didn't pull back his face completely and gave a peircing side look to the head maid, saying in a sharp tone,
"You dare to disturb me? It seems like you don't care about your life."
Head maid also shivered with fear under his peircing gaze and clutched tightly her front intertwined fingers. And in a weak low voice, she said,
"Pardon my intrusion young master, but Madam has requested your audience."
She said and he nodded.
And then pulling back his face, he tilted my jaw towards him, making me look directly in his eyes while he said,
"Wait for me angel, ok? It will not take much time."
He said and let my body go, and I immediately stood up from his lap and stood in far distance from him, bowing down my head before him as he stood up from his seat and started walking towards the door but before he could step out of the door, he looked back at me and said,
"Raise your head, my angel."
And I silently obeyed knowing better than anyone, the consequences of not obeying him.
And that's when he laid down his twisted words, proving just how much of a malicious personality he has.
"I forgot to tell you, you taste like heaven. I almost forgot that it was the sweet's juice. I would love to taste yours soon as well."
He said and smirking, he shoved his hands in his pant's side pockets and left humming in bliss while I almost fell down on my knees understanding completely just what he said.
How can such a shameless man actually exist?
But that's when I noticed the glare of the head maid. I am again doomed. That's for sure.
He knows better than me that we can't be together yet he keeps coming after me, afterall.
_____________________________________
It was just a mid night trip in a hill station but me and my friends accidentally triggered some kind of spell and I don't know what happened to them but I ended up in the year 1800, in a city I've never come to even in present.
But before I could knew anything, I was suddenly offered a job in a beautiful manor to be their chef. It was a British family who was looking for an Indian cook to serve her Indian cuisines, two times a day.
And because I was quite skilled in culinary so I accepted the job offer and came to the vast manor. But who knew that was my worst mistake?
At first, everything went smoothly. I got along with every maid there and the lady who hired me, was quite pleased with my cooking skills.
Everything was going fine except the lady's son who was rumoured to be excessively handsome and very much famous for his cunning nature. Every other maid in the manor were obsessed with his looks. Well, I've never been interested in any man so I just used to listen to them without commenting on it.
But my life flipped upside down when the Countess' only son, the Earl, the cunning finance administrator returned back from his conference.
And the moment I caught his eyes, I became his plaything.
Whenever I try to avoid him or go to a different place, don't know how, but he's always there, waiting for me.
I am scared of him because to me, he is not handsome but his amber eyes scare me and send a shiver down my spine. I don't know how others find him attractive, he is so scary. As if a porcelain doll has came to life.
But what started with a mere interest, soon became a little too much for a interest and before I could even guess, his curiosity in me turned into a fatal obsession and that he made it clear to me when he saw me with another man.
And from then onwards, my days were spent serving him and his mother, be his little entertainment and endure the harsh insults by the head maid.
My peaceful life soon completely shattered into million of pieces just because he treated me more than just a servant.
But a opportunity to escape this hellish life soon came infront of me when he left for another conference and his mother who was unable to do anything until now, finally expelled me from my position.
And packing my bags, I left the crowded city in a cruise and went to a countryside peaceful village to spend the rest of life.
When I reached the place, with my hard earned salary, I opened a small restaurant in the village and with time, it boomed in the village and with time, everything went back to normal.
And soon, three years passed.
By now, I started earning a hefty amount of profit, so much so that I hired a few helpers in my restaurant. I started getting along with every other villager as if they were my own family.
Life was finally stable after a long time.
But even that peace was short lived because one day, a luxurious carriage arrived in our village and from that carriage, I saw a man emerging from the dark inside.
One I never assumed to meet again. And when I saw him, my heart stopped beating and a wave of fear washed over me.
No, no this can't be. How is-? How is he here? How in the world did he find me?
And I did everything I could to avoid him from that day but as if it was already written in my fate.
One day when I was playing with my friend's brother, he started running to catch the ball but before he could catch it, a tall figure wearing a black long coat and a black Chaplin hat with a white ribbon caught the ball.
And then raised his eyes, revealing his face. His peircing amber eyes, staring at the very soul of mine while I looked at him in disbelief and utter shock.
The boy who went to take the ball, after seeing the man, came back running to me and hugging me, started crying in fear.
No wonder he got scared, the amber eyes looked more scary than ever, the face which once shone with life and like a shining sun, has now lost his brightness and has become dull and sunken with a deep seated desperation lingering in their depths.
The lips which were once always grinning or smirking in my presence now were in a hard pressed line in my absence. Yet the side tremble of his lips betrayed his firm expression.
The jawline were clenched in a mix of anger and desperation, seemed to vibrate with tension.
It seemed like he has become only a shell of what he was before. Don't tell me, is it because I left? Did he greive so much for me?
But why is he here now? What does want now, after ruining my life?
And why does he seem angry, seeing the small child clinging to me and my best friend beside me?
What tricks my fate is playing with me now?
"Ahh, my son is finally back."
As I stepped inside the manor, my mother came infront to greet me with her reassuring flashy smile.
I went towards her and gently embraced her and returning her hug, I closed my eyes momentarily, finding relief wash over me, seeing her safe and sound.
And after freshing up, I went for the dinner where, for the first time, I saw Indian meals on the table and finding it amusing, I asked my mother about it.
But she said that she has hired a new chef in my absence to cook and serve her Indian cuisines. I was a bit hesitant at first because she maybe a spy from a rebellious clan but after being reassured by mother, did I only took a first bite of red meat and as I shoved it in my mouth, a mix of savoury and spice, blasted inside my mouth.
I was not prepared for such a good dish that I actually praised it and ate it all without further complaints.
And I only thought the food was good but when I saw the one who cooked it, I knew it, she was the best thing in my entire thirty two years of life.
Her eyes like a black gemstone, shining brightly under the sunlight. Her small round face, screaming innocence and calmness like in water. Pure and simple yet elegant and beautiful was her charm.
Her lustrous deep brown hair cascading down her waist as if covering her back from the outer world. It looked luscious and dark, flowing down like a dark waterfall.
Her small figure which barely managed to reach my chest were not skinny but also not chubby. A smooth skin that anything will easily slide down without getting stuck anywhere. And her curves, enchanted her figure even more.
And strangely, her beauty had an effect on me at first sight only.
At first, seeing her not being affected by my charms and flawless looks, I got curious about her. What does she think in that petite head of hers? Is she really not affected by me? And if not then what kind of men does she like?
But soon, my wondering thoughts went from what she thinks to how she looks. How are her lips always so plump and juicy? Will she mind if I were to kiss her? She looks so fragile, will she even be able to satisfy me until daylight?
This thoughts were as much ridiculous as much they were hindrance in my day to day life.
And soon, I realised that it's not just her body which I desire, it's her completely. Her body, her soul, her mind, her brain, her heart, everywhere, it should only be my name and if someone even dares to set their eyes on her, I will simply make sure that they don't exist in the world from that moment onwards.
Whenever I was to go towards her, she would naturally ignore me and avoid running into me at all times. But she doesn't know I am a man who finds his way possible in every situation.
And someday, I will also find my way to her heart as well. Or I hope she will let me.
Everything went smoothly just as it should but a silly mistake costed me to be seperated from her.
I knew no one wanted us to be together. Neither in the house, nor outside the society, nor her, herself. It seemed like I was fighting alone for her and for a future of us.
But that day, if I knew the consequences, I wouldn't have left for the conference at all.
It was a conference to discuss some important measures about the financial crisis of that month, so I left the manor temporarily, thinking that nothing bad can happen to my mother and my little angel.
But I was so wrong, I never knew it.
When I returned from the conference, I found no trace of my little angel. She didn't cook that night so I assumed that she might be sick but when I went to check up on her, I found out that she has been expelled from the manor by mother. And it has already been three day when she left the manor.
How dare she run away when I clearly warned her to do anything ridiculous like this?
Little angel, just you wait and watch, I will make sure to properly trap you with me, the next time we meet and will successfully make you my wife so that after that, no one will trouble you here anymore.
And so, I started searching for her like a crazy lover, I think I have become one, a deviant lover just for her and I won't hesitate to prove it to her.
It took me three damn years yet I still couldn't find her until I found out about a new trendy restaurant in a rural side of the city and hoping to find her there, I went on a dreadful journey to find her.
But when I did, I found her with a child and a man who stood beside her as if it was his place.
My little angel got married and even had a child? In just these fleeting three years?
It doesn't matter though, now, I will just have to wipe off her husband and taking the child in my custody, I will become his father and marry her.
Now, not even her God can stop me from capturing her. If she thinks that I am a ruthless Britisher, she might as well just see it with her own eyes.
I am going to trap you with forever now, little angel, doesn't matter even if you protest, you are made for me and it's only the right you have been given.
Hope you liked the prologue ๐,
